What Is the Cast of ‘The Brady Bunch’ Doing Today?
The Brady Bunch was one of the most popular family sitcoms of its time. The show, which ran for five seasons, is a tale of two families coming together. Each episode revolves around another adventure — or rather misadventure — the blended family gets into. Let’s take a look at what its cast members are up to today.
Robert Reed: Then
Robert Reed played the role of highly-respected architect Mike Brady in The Brady Bunch. He’s the patriarch of the Brady family and father to three boys — Greg, Peter, and Bobby. After marrying Carol, he becomes stepfather to Marcia, Jan, and Cindy.
With firm personal integrity and a strong sense of ethics, Reed’s character on the show is considered to be one of the most beloved dads in the history of US sitcoms.
Robert Reed: Now
Post The Brady Bunch, Robert Reed went on to do other projects. He scored Emmy’s thrice for his performances in Medical Center, Rich Man, Poor Man, and Roots. Reed also gained popularity for his roles in Hawaii Five-O and Charlie’s Angels.
Aside from that, Reed also spent his time on stage and teaching classes at UCLA. Unfortunately, the beloved actor passed away in 1992 at the age of 59.
Florence Henderson: Then
Florence Henderson played the role of Brady’s family matriarch, Carol Brady. Florence was only 35 when she accepted the role of a mother. In the sitcom, she portrays the loving albeit stern mother of Marcia, Jan, and Cindy — and, of course, stepmother to Greg, Peter, and Bobby.
Although Carol chooses to be a stay-at-home mom, she’s far from a housewife. Yes, she does take care of the kids and the family as a whole but she’s more than that. Not only is she a freelancer writer and sculptor, but she’s also a political activist and singer.
Florence Henderson: Now
After The Brady Bunch concluded, Henderson became a regular face on various spin-offs and specials of The Brady Bunch. She also went on to do other projects such as Fifty Shades of Black, Handy Manny, Matchmaker Santa, and Trophy Wife among others.
Aside from appearing in film and on stage, Henderson hosted several long-running cooking and variety shows, not to mention that she competed in Dancing With the Stars! Unfortunately, the actress passed away in 2016.
