What the Cast of Harry Potter Is Up to Now
Many adults grew up with the Harry Potter franchise, alongside the actors of the film who brought J.K. Rowling’s characters to life. The cast, who were just children when the first movie of the series came out, are all grown up now and have moved on to other things. So, what exactly are your favorite Harry Potter actors up to in 2024?
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
As the star of the Harry Potter franchise who made his money long before he reached adulthood, Daniel Radcliffe now has a freedom that most artists never see.
The actor has taken full advantage of that and strictly does indie films and Broadway shows. After all, it’s not like Radcliffe will be affected if his project is a flop.
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
After the Harry Potter series wrapped, Emma Watson starred in some major Hollywood films but eventually chose a different path.
Although Watson is extremely likable as a celebrity, she lacks the talent required to take on interesting adult roles. Whether she recognized that or not, the actress has taken an indefinite leave from the movie industry and now focuses on activism instead.
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Rupert Grint is still acting, but he’s less prominent in Hollywood than he was back in his Harry Potter days.
Grint primarily stars in British productions that don’t make it overseas, with the notable exception of AppleTV’s psychological horror Servant.
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy
Tom Felton has continued acting since playing Harry’s nemesis Draco Malfoy, but his main focus has been on music. The actor started a record label called Six String Productions and now has a YouTube channel under the name Fallbeats.
He also wrote a book called Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard which reached #1 on the New York Times nonfiction best-seller list.
